Hideaway at Foxhollow

This is where you want to stay. The house itself is beautiful, peaceful, and cozy, and the grounds are absolutely delightful. The kitchen was modern and well-appointed, the beds were beautifully made-up and comfortable, and the entire home was decorated with skill and care. This is a historic farmhouse, but have no concerns: there was loads of heat and hot water and good laundry facilities. There are cows and sheep along the private laneway as you drive in and a lovely hedged garden in the back. We had excellent communication with our hostess, June, before and after our arrival, and she made us so welcome and comfortable after a red-eye flight with a toddler! June is also officially the best baker; her scones and brown bread are amazing! If you are touring the area, the house is about 20 minutes away from lots of towns and historic sites. I feel that my review can't even do justice to how happy our stay at The Hideaway was; we will certainly be back. If you are visiting the Boyne Valley and Ireland's Ancient East, trust me and book this home!

We had an absolutely amazing stay at this farmhouse! The setting was stunning, with beautiful surroundings that made it feel so peaceful and relaxing. The property itself was impeccably decorated, cozy, warm, and spotlessly clean. Every detail was thoughtfully considered. The host was such a lovely person—welcoming, attentive, and kind, which made the stay even more enjoyable. I can’t recommend this place enough and will most certainly stay here again. A true gem.
