Lovely campsite, great facilities and beautiful location. The pitch size was spacious and there were mature oaks dotted about the site. The staff were helpful and there were a lot of them! And the showers were excellent! Plenty to do locally also.
It was an emergency booking the morning we arrived as our original booked campsite rang us just an hour before we were going to leave that they had cancelled our booking. I went with a group of friends, us all 16, who wanted a relaxing week to celebrate exams and the end of secondary school. We had an amazing time and really enjoyed the campsite and surrounding areas; we went on a long walk through the forest and took some great photos. We would definitely visit again!!
-Well maintained campsite. Very clean toilets and showers. Busy but never had to queue for anything. -Would be nice to have choice over which pitch rather than being told where to go but it turned out to be a nice spot anyway. -Have to get staff to let your car out as there's a bollard, but it was never a problem. -Beautiful grassy area opposite the camping ground that horses sometimes passed through. -Nice pub next door. -Very experience at £40 a night over the weekend, £30 weekdays. By far the most we've paid for a small tent and two people.
