High Force Hotel

A spectacular sight for all those who like walking and waterfalls. The natural beauty of the waterfall, surrounded by the hard rocks and the green forest is a sight to see. There is a slight walk, but it's not a difficult one. It is well maintained although there is a fee to pay. A great day out.

Absolutely stunning view. You have to pay to park £4 for 3 hrs, plus £4 each to enter. Staff on the gate house was lovely, chatty and pleasant. Giving information which they must repeat 100s of times a day. A nice simple steady walk down. There are steep steps at the end should you want to get to water level BUT you don't have to do these to enjoy the sound and views. You can either return on same path, or loop which is up a steep incline and comes back under a tree canopy which was nice on a hot day

A Truly Exceptional Stay! Our stay at High Force Hotel was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome – their kindness and genuine care made all the difference. The setting is absolutely stunning, full of charm and character, with open fireplaces, beautiful rustic details, and a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere. What really blew me away was the food – especially as someone who follows a gluten-free diet. The selection was so incredible I found myself overwhelmed with choice at every meal (in the best way!). It’s rare to find a place that takes dietary needs this seriously, and every dish I tried was absolutely delicious. Whether you're exploring the waterfall, relaxing by the fire, or just enjoying the amazing local food and drink, this place is a gem. I’m already planning my return visit.
