Stayed for a 2 night all-inclusive mid week break. The hotel is rather dated but clean and in a great location. We stayed in an accessible room in the lodge which was warm, clean and a good size. Food in the restaurant was okay, limited and didn't change. Most staff worked well and are generally friendly. One poor point is that tea and coffee is not on the all-inclusive you have to pay for an upgrade to get this. Overall a great break at a fair price.

The place feels a little dated now, with a repaint due in the rooms and the chairs peeling in the bar area etc. However, these weren't such a big deal that we didn't enjoy ourselves! The entrance is lovely, and there's a wood panelled library/drawing room to the side that would be perfect for a quiet drink and a good book. We were given a room on the second floor and there is no lift, so we had to do a fair bit of walking (by my standards, as I struggle with this) which is my fault as I didn't ask for an accessible room. Apparently, there is an accessible annex, but this down a fairly steep decline so for anyone who struggles with their balance it's best to be mindful of that. We got a deal that included a meal supplement and drinks (from 6-11pm) as well as a little stay in the outdoor hot tub, with prosecco to enjoy. We were also given a walkie talkie so we could order any other drinks we wanted while we were there. This outdoor area was so relaxing and cosy - the hot tub was clean and very bubbly, perfect for me as I have a broken spine so this worked in lieu of a massage! There was a moment another visitor decided to stop and watch us for a bit, which was odd but we just waved at him til he was pulled away by his partner 😂 The only issue with this is I'm not sure if the robes are fresh for each person using it, as they felt damp (could have just been the weather making them feel that way), so we left those. Staff were so friendly and kind, they couldn't do enough for you and seemed to know some of the regulars. We were going to stay and meet with the wedding coordinator to talk through their options but by then I was feeling a little ill (I have ME, nothing to do with the hotel!) so we had to leave to get back home. That being said, from what we could see of the room it looks really cosy and perfect for smaller weddings, like ours will be (eventually!)

Expected some atmosphere or music as it’s a long day to stay on the premises with what if felt like a cooperate meeting. Staff were very young and manager always rushing. No customer service, just doing their job. Drinks was weak on the all inclusive , 5 hours of drinking and none of us out of the party of 6 were even tipsy lol, my husband had 10 pints!. Food was nice and included in the offer so cannot complain of the price. Room was very dated. It was fine for the price of the offer but I definetly wouldn’t pay more. £109 per couple
