I was about to be upset with quality of rooms and cleanliness but manager Ryan did it right, accommodating us to a different unit. He was doing his best to avoid any negative comprehension and he was able to satisfy requests as well as fix the issue with lack of cleaning in one of the rooms we were supposed to stay. Complements to Ryan and his professionalism, thanks to him I will add this hotel to my list “come back again”
We ate at the restaurant in the hotel and the food was fantastic. We had the pleasure of being served Sergio and Liz. It’s rare to come across people who clearly take so much pride in their work and genuinely enjoy creating a great experience for guests. Sergio went above and beyond in every way, and every time he saw us he made sure we were okay and enjoying our stay. We will absolutely be returning because of their outstanding service. Highly recommend!
The Highline Vail is a nice enough place. It's kind of at the west edge of Vail, but the free shuttle into town makes up for that. The drivers are great and there is never much of a wait. The front desk staff could be more approachable and congenial. The housekeeping is good. However, I did not have a peaceful stay. Not exactly the hotel's fault (I suppose). A guest 2 doors down from me brought their dog and left it unattended in their room several times. The poor beast barked it's head off non-stop during the owner's absence. Ugh. Sounded like I had booked a room in a kennel. The hotel charges an extra fee for pets, which understandably covers their trouble -- but not so much that of an inconvenienced guest. Oh, and the pillows are mush. So all in all a "nothing special" stay. FWIW, Yeti's Grind next door has excellent coffee.
