We recently stayed at the Waterbird Boathouse at Windermere, this was our first ever experience of booking with Hills of Oak and we were not disappointed. The accommodation was absolutely stunning, situated right on the waters edge with a balcony overlooking the lake, the rooms were clean with plenty of amenities, beds were comfortable and ample seating so as to enjoy the views. The staff onsite were super friendly and helpful, we will be going back soon. Thank you for making our holiday a memorable one.
We had an awesome holiday here! When we arrived, immediately we noticed how friendly and attentive the staff are - delicious scones and cakes were even left for us in the Waterbird Boathouse (thank you) ! The rooms are very aesthetic too, nice and cosy with everything you need for a holiday☺️ Really quiet when you’re trying to sleep as well. However it would be nice if the shop was open more consistently, but it is not a major problem - we would just like the opportunity to try your milkshakes haha. Nevertheless the location cannot be faulted, the view of the lake is beautiful💙💙
Perfect stay at hill of oaks in one of their glamping pods, the perfect size for 2 plus a dog with all the equipment needed for a meal in but lots of lovely local dog friendly pubs to eat at too. It felt secluded enough at the pod to feel isolated but during the day by the lake there were lots of people around which was a lovely atmosphere. Already planning our trip back!
