Hillside Boutique Hotel

This is our second time staying here, as an impromptu getaway from Austin. The rooms are comfortable and clean, with lovely views and convenient amenities. The front desk staff was lovely at both check-in and checkout, the restaurant was delicious but the spa really gets my rave reviews this time. It’s small and unassuming, but the technicians are truly talented. This was my second facial with Misti, and beyond the quality of the service she provided, she also gave me great takeaway knowledge for products for my skin (and not just sponsored brands). She clearly cares about her clients as a whole, not just as a one-off. Jessica, who gave me my massage, is a beautiful little angel baby, sent down from the muscle gods to heal us knotted goblins. I can NOT express how wonderful of a job she did: I have paid 3 times as much locally to walk away with only a slight decrease in sciatic pain, but Jessica gave me REAL relief. She also talked me through the areas she was treating and stretches I could do at home. Again, I cannot stress how grateful and impressed I am with her. I had a 15 minute car ride before my treatment that made my back hurt; after my massage, I spent 2 hours in the car without pain. Incredible. It’s now 12 hours later and I’m still so amazed I had to write a review….i will be back, as soon as life allows.

Check in was pleasant, room was clean and well appointed, with comfortable beds. Did not hear one sound, but there was no one above us or on either side, so...All of the staff we had contact with was friendly. Wished we would have seen the Barrel Room before we went to town to eat and have drinks--it looked very inviting. Next time?

It was good. Stayed there about a month ago. Door to the balcony didn't open. They fixed it a day later but there were wasp everywhere so we didn't use the balcony. Toilet water wasn't on when I got there. Had to turn it on myself. Tv remote stopped working the 2nd day. Never got fixed. I was there 3 days. Anyway, I might go back. Not sure. They only gave me a $20 discount for 1 day. I thought i deserved more than that since so many things went wrong. Only good thing about that place was the spa and the location. I really dont recommend this place. It kinda sucked.
