Our hotel stay was fantastic. Staff were incredible- attentive, friendly, hard working and just amazing. From the chefs, cleaners, receptionists and lifeguards and all in between. Everyone was engaging and integrated with us on our stay. The food was lovely, always replenished and fresh! Lots of variety and nice that my children got to try lots of different and local cuisine. The pool was so clean and fresh, with a shallower part for littler guests. The hotel was right next to the beach and a short walk along the coastal path into santa Maria. We were able to book taxis and excursions through the hotel which suited us- maybe a bit more expensive, but as we had our children with us it felt safe and reliable. Me and my husband had a massage from the spa- the therapists were amazing and the spa was clean and tranquil. Our rooms were cleaned daily and bottled water provided. Everything was perfect for us and we would love to return!!
A lovely stay at Hilton Sal Cabo Verde and would certainly return again. Great location and friendly staff. Extremely clean and good choice of food. Rooms are a great size with comfy beds. Loved the bathroom! My only suggestion would be to have some (or more) entertainment in the evening as the bar has great cocktails but just no vibe in there. Thanks again for a great stay and will hopefully see you in 2026!
My stay at this hotel was overall reasonable, but it fell well short of expectations for a 5-star property. In terms of infrastructure, several issues stood out. The exterior doors of many rooms were visibly damaged. I also came across bath towels and bed sheets with holes, which I find completely unacceptable for a hotel of this standard. The regular cleaning of the rooms left much to be desired. The floors were not properly cleaned, with visible debris both in the main areas and in the bathroom. The shower area, in particular, showed clear signs of poor hygiene. Additionally, the shower gel ran out and was not replaced, even after three nights and having notified the staff. As for the team, I did not find them particularly friendly or welcoming. However, I would like to highlight Sérgio at the reception, who was consistently helpful, polite and very professional. He deserves special recognition.
