Big hotel located in a great area. Beautiful view and spacious rooms. The front desk team could have a better attitude, I interacted with 2 young ladies that seemed to be there for the paycheck, not a smile, not friendly and answering questions was too much for them. Our room was hot, we kept the AC at 67° and we were sweating at night. Only 2 elevators working for a building with 16 floors on a convention week, needless to say the wait time was always very long.

This motel is in need of a massive revitalization project. You can tell that it was once a very nice and luxurious hotel. The location is the only thing that makes it worthwhile to booking here. Staff was very nice though. I’m about 20-30 years late. First ever staying in Daytona. This motel almost ruined it for me. They are really going to have to invest some big time capital to bring this spot back to it heyday era.

Let me give the positive, the room was nice and the ocean view was calming. AC worked great. Okay, now for the rest of the story… I have waited less time in a school pickup line; don’t check in at 4:00 unless you want to wait an hour. If you choose valet, it is $50 a night or you can park down the road across the street for $35 per night. While the view was nice, don’t expect to actually get to the beach from the hotel, no way, you have to walk a ways to the public entrance. The hurricane took out the stairs but they charge you like you have beach access. If you read the reviews, the elevators haven’t worked since it opened. After waiting in the car line for an hour I had to endure another 39 minute wait to use the elevators because only two were working. The homeless encampment on the way to the beach was an adventure. The smells alone were enough to puke. I am not snobbish by any stretch but this hotel is not what I call a “resort” and more like a Motel 6 than a Hilton. For the $25 “resort fee”, I’m at a loss what it is for. Maybe they can use that money to fix the elevators
