Hilton Garden Inn Ankara Gimat

Poor location amid an industrial area, difficult to access by public transport. Fixtures and fittings are tired and there’s little to do. Gym is ok at best and breakfast is good. Accessible from the metro station but a half hour walk away and there’s a bus stop within a ten minute walk.

As a Hilton Diamond member, I fully understand that this Garden Inn is just a three-star hotel. At this moment, I am sitting in the breakfast area, and I must say the breakfast is absolutely terrible. I haven’t seen Mr. Arslan, who was mentioned in the reviews. Instead, there are only two staff members with unpleasant attitudes—an elderly bald man and a curly-haired woman. They seem to have a lot to do, but serving foreign guests is clearly not one of their priorities. They carefully placed high-stemmed glasses, bottled water, and teapots on every table—except ours. When I politely requested the bottled water that every other table had, the bald male staff member first ignored me completely. Then, when I tried to get his attention, he deliberately looked away—yet at the same time, he was enthusiastically assisting another guest with coffee. Only when he had no choice but to make eye contact with me did he reluctantly throw a bottle of water onto my table. If someone has reached the age where they would rather not be working but have to, they should at least do their job properly. Otherwise, why not just stay home and rest?

Definitely do not recommend! This is one of the worst hilton garden inn hotels ever! The hotel is very old, due to their central heating system the rooms’ temperature is very high during the winter time or very cold in summer time (2x higher or lower than the regular room temperature). Rooms are not clean and you can find hair in beds + the windows are always dirty. Both elevators are old and you may end up waiting minimum 7-10 minutes to get in (not joking!) This is my 2nd time staying here and its enough. I still dont get how hilton is allowing to use their brand in this hotel?!
