Hilton Garden Inn Atlanta Buckhead

I was in town to visit family, but the welcome I received at check-in was anything but welcoming. The woman at the front desk wearing two braids a skirt a tank top exposing her belly ring and tattoos had a nasty attitude. I believe her name was Rochelle. When I asked if she worked there (since her appearance was not what you’d expect for front desk staff) she snapped back, “Do you think I’d be getting your information if I didn’t work here?” She was also on her phone while checking me in I asked about parking, she just pointed and said, “I’m sick of these damn folks asking me questions.” Is that how you talk to guests? I asked to speak to a manger she said “ain’t one “ I just walked off to find parking after returning from a family banquet I came to the lobby to let Rochelle know about my family members room I noticed a different staff member on duty another lady light skin short hair, freckles step behind the desk to help. She greeted me, asked how I was doing, I asked if she was the manager she said no but I am able to help you. she listened as I explained my issues from check in and the problem my family member was having with their A/C unit leaking water. She was respectful, and professional. She refunded my stay, gave me the manager’s card, and even handed me a list of local restaurants and attractions she had personally created. She went over hotel amenities (which Rochelle never did) and clearly explained parking. she told me she would be here until 6 a.m not to hesitate to call if I needed anything. I forgot her name but she turned a terrible experience into something decent. I didn’t feel welcomed when I checked in but I felt welcomed at the end of the night

Awesome location; close to Marta trains, Lenox Square, & some great restaurants all within walking distance. Service was excellent! We had a delayed check in because of so many events & traffic, but the rooms were cozy and clean when we got into them. Def saving this location for our next trip. Wonderful man who had a bow tie (perhaps the manager?) was on point the entire stay! Valet was very considerate; opened doors upon ride share arrivals and was efficient in retrieving vehicles. Front desk workers were all very kind and informative.

Loved the breakfast spread. They also gave us room for our event and water bottles, and we needed to be hydrated so that was great! Location also same, proximity to food and the MARTA. The rooms were...damp. weirdly damp. Even with the AC on they were still damp? The tissues were vaguely wet and not just after a shower. The pages of my notebook curled from the bizarre humidity. Why. Why was it so damp.
