Hilton Garden Inn Erzurum

Excellent hotel. Rooms are big and clean. Shower is very nice and has a door unlike some other hotels in Turkey. Dinner in the restaurant was delicious. Breakfast buffet had lots of options. A very nice place to stay for a weary traveller who needs a good night of rest.

Good hotel on the edge of Erzurum. Stayed here for one night on our way to Gazientep.

Last minute booking for 1 night: The breakfast was amazing with huge selection, both continental and classic turkish, continuously restocked, so everything was fresh. The service, in general, was also really positive, with the front desk staff allowing us an early check-in and helping us with bus routes. The Spa is nice to unwind, although the steam room was off, which was a slight disappointment. The hamam and sauna are great, too. Unfortunately cannot say the same for the pool as almost all the sun chairs are broken and should be replaced. Also, the Spa feels half finished. There is no real ambiance, especially in the relax rooms with no soft lights. Furthermore, the area was quite dirty, especially the mens toilet. The room service burgers were a complete disappointment. The images showed were completely different than what was brought. It was comical... the fries were stale. The last negative remark was concerning the bed in the room. It was great because it was so big but the blanket was obviously too small for the big bed and made for a much smaller standard bed. Also, I'm all about reusing, but for a Hilton, repaired holes in the bedsheets were unexpected (see images). Overall, because of the last-minute booking, we got a very good rate and also got upgraded, so the price performance was really good. However, if I had paid full price (nearly double), I would have been much more critical.
