Hilton Garden Inn Kampala

The staff are very accommodating, professional and kind. The hotel is clean and lovely. We arrived after 3 long days, short on sleep of international travel. We were helped into the hotel and l, welcomed with fresh pressed watermelon juice, and given a surprise upgrade to a lovely suite with fruit, baked goods and chocolate. The restaurant food is more than your typical Hilton Garden Inn with a really lovely blend of international options for a taste of wherever home may be. We tend to sleep hot, so we use light covers and make the room as cold as possible. There's no flat sheet, just a comforter, and the room certainly didn't cool down enough to support sleeping with a comforter, but it was uncomfortable to sleep without any cover. A flat sheet is simply a must. A final note: The Hilton Honors app says that checkout is 1200 It is not. It is 10 a.m. We received a 10:30 call having just awakened after a fitful jet-lag sleep asking why we had not checked out. We did apologize for the misunderstanding and got out as quickly as we could, but that ended the stay on a stressful note. Overall, it was a lovely stay with lovely people.

The entire team & staff at The Hilton Garden Inn Kampala is very helpful and understanding from Mr. Prashant to everyone at the Reception. Be it early check in, shuttle services or even food they have everything covered. It was and is a very pleasant stay at Hilton Garden Kampala. Brownie points to Chef Edward from the restaurant as he understands Jain food preferences and cooks very delicious Jain food. Special mention & thanks to Mr. Ivan & Mr. Pascal from the restaurant section. They are very welcoming and are professional as well.

I came for business. It was my first time in Uganda and I can only say good things about this hotel. I stayed for 5 nights and I will be leaving tomorrow. My experience has been extremely good. All the employees at the hotel treated me perfectly. I live in Dubai and the standards were those of a high end 4 Star-Hotel in Dubai Business Bay area: Cleanliness, Service, … everyone trying me to stay comfortable and at home. I had breakfast and lunch every day in the hotel and the food was very good. I would like to mention all the employees that I met during my stay, but I do not know their names: - The woman who cleaned my room. I happened to meet her all days during my stay. The room was absolutely perfect every single day. - The man who was in the metal arch was always helpful - The people in reception very attentive - The waiters in the M Floor: absolute Dubai standards. 3 female waitresses and 2 male waiters and one man who was attending the bar close to the elevator. I can only praise their professionalism. I had a lot of client meetings on the M floor, and they were attentive to our needs while giving us privacy. To sum up, super super good choice if you are going to Kampala.
