Hilton Garden Inn London Heathrow Airport

Just outside the airport area but not easy to get to from the Tube. You have to walk around a massive waste plant building. There is no complimentary airport shuttle. The breakfast buffet, however, is expansive and definitely worth it. The staff are nice and courteous. The rooms are decent. I had to search around for the hair dryer which was in the desk drawer by the window rather than in the bathroom or closet.

The hotel location is perfect. After collecting baggage from Terminal 2 arrival, take escalator up one floor and follow the signage. Staff at check-in counter were cheerful, welcoming, and helpful. I must mention exceptionally good service by Jooni at the check-in. The restaurant has selection of various cuisines, though the service is bit slow due to it being busy. I will happily stay here again.

The hotel is a bit crowded but it’s the summer so not sure if it’s always the case. There was a line to the reception, elevators etc. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The bar has a nice selection of beers on tap. The staff is nice and helpful. Location is not far from the terminals but the transportation is not the most convenient unless it’s a taxi. There is no free shuttle. Overall it’s a good choice if you need to be close to the airport and pay less than the hotels right in the terminals.
