Hilton Garden Inn Rome Colosseum

Our family of four recently had the pleasure of staying at the Best Western Hotel President in Rome, and we couldn't have been more impressed. From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly welcome, making our Roman holiday even more special. The family room was exceptionally accommodating, providing ample space for all of us to relax comfortably after a day of sightseeing. It's often a challenge to find rooms that truly cater to families, but the Best Western Hotel President certainly delivered. What truly set this hotel apart was the outstanding staff. Every single team member we encountered was incredibly friendly and polite, always ready with a warm smile or helpful suggestion. Their genuine hospitality made a significant difference to our stay. A particularly delightful surprise was when they brought up a slice of birthday cake for us without even being asked – a thoughtful gesture that truly exemplified their commitment to guest satisfaction. While the hotel is about a 20-30 minute walk to major attractions and the train station, we found this to be a pleasant stroll, allowing us to soak in more of Rome's vibrant atmosphere. For those who prefer not to walk, public transport options are readily available nearby.

What a wonderful hotel, very comfortable, delicious breakfast (with mimosa bar!!), clean & (most importantly) great AC! They even had a little gift for our baby upon arrival. Only thing to consider is given its right next to a very busy road it is very noisy at night. Otherwise, highly recommend!

The price is reasonable and the location is within easy walking distance of many attractions, though some nearby areas feel a bit sketchy. Breakfast was decent. The main floor is currently under renovation, so it doesn’t have that “grand entrance” feel just yet, but it’s clearly being updated. Parking is available directly below the property for €25. The host is excellent he takes care of parking your car and keeps the keys, as the cars are stacked closely together.
