Perfect for our family. Very quiet and calm location. Pool has a small but fast slide and great temperature. We went to the pool at the main resort and it was not as nice or peaceful. Plus the bar had much better pricing on drinks.

TL:DR - one of the beds was soaked in pee and housekeeping had nothing to clean mattress - management did not address. We stayed in a recently renovated room, it was very nice with a few minor flaws. Location was great and all BUT we had an absolutely terrible experience on our first night. We had been traveling for over 20 hours and were exhausted. We finally get ready for bed, get under the covers and realize that it’s wet… we later realized it was URINE!!! We laid in urine… the entire bed was soaked and it went through the mattress protector and into the mattress. Night people just gave us a change of linens that we had to put ourselves… so we had to sleep on a peed on mattress as they said we could not be moved. Next morning we asked to at least come clean with some chemicals and we were told that THEY HAD NOTHING TO CLEAN URINE since they only use bleach!!!! How is that even possible? How do they clean pet accidents or other biohazards? We got a very meager apology and we did manage to find a non chlorine spray that WE had to use to clean. Management never reached out and the only people that seemed to care were the sales department of their timeshares. Very disappointed in the management response, my biggest concern is the lack of protocol to clean biohazard waste and the carelessness to not notice a bed was soaked in pee before placing fresh sheets on top.

These are dated condos They feel like the 80s with bathrooms that are open to the bedroom and everything from the faucets to the tiles are very old. The windows feel very old and the units overall have old hallways and there’s only one small pool here not enough for the entire unit I would recommend Kingsland. It’s much newer and nicer . The kitchens have basic things, but are lacking things like salt and pepper. It would be nice if they provided basic stuff that everyone needs for cooking going to the volcano is about a 2 Hour Dr. and doing that round-trip in a day is very tiring. The Hilton hotel is a five minute car ride and using their pools is good for a day trip though it is very far. I think it’s nicer to be on the beach like gaping beach Westin. My unit did not have any views just the trees and the road so be sure to ask for something with a view And The staff are all very nice and helpful and it is Hawai’i. Very beautiful. .
