Well appointed and maintained hotel near the city and airport of Papeete. Our room was quiet. Beds were a bit too firm for our liking. We appreciated the free self park. Staff were very friendly and courteous. A transit lounge is available for early arriving flights, which may be for fee depending on your status. The hotel charged ~$200 to check in immediately at 6:30a rather than waiting until about 10:30a, but that was worth it to us after a long red eye flight. Depending on who you are traveling with it could be a bit awkward as the bathroom is separated from the bedroom by partially frosted glass doors, and the shower door has the same. The hotel has multiple restaurants and a large pool facing the ocean, including a swim uo bar. One issue is seating capacity near the pool seemed limited for the number of rooms. Guests are able to walk across a footbridge to a small mall offering various stores, grocery store and pharmacy. We visited the mall to stock up for our upcoming vacation. Diamond status benefits: - Room upgrade to ocean view - Transit lounge - Breakfast full buffet (very good)

For a 450 € lowest room rate per night it was just poor. For a holiday on that beautiful island so far away you expect some basics and not daily complaints and discussions. What we got were 5 days no room cleaning, rude behavior of some of the service people, no amenities at all, no recognition as a Hilton Gold member at all, charging extra for everything even at the checking out some extra 15€ daily for a resort fee. They could not even explain what it is about. They said it is for using the resort facilities like Internet (which didn’t work so I had to book data volume at my provider for 6€ daily) pool usage and parking (at check in they said it is free) TV didn’t work at all. Information totally inconsistent. Breakfast was not of good quality at all. They try to force you to sit where they want to sit you. At checkout I have asked for the invoices some basic procedures, but just to understand what they have already charged me on my credit card. They had serious issues printing and finding the invoices, needed their invoice department telling me if I have issues I can contact my credit card company. In conclusion bad service high price lots of extra costs, not a pleasant place making your vacation leaving with disappointment and bad feeling. After 25 years of Hilton member including Diamond traveling around the globe on business and holidays I have never had a similar bad experience. Now we are on the return at Hilton Gold Coast in Australia and all went exactly the other way round as it should be. So nice and lovely people with a smile doing what they meant to do and much more. This is Hilton and the people make the difference.

DO NOT STAY HERE Hotel staff is kind and rooms are fine. Those are the only good parts about this hotel. Food is awful and overpriced. Pool is average. No beach area or sand/water of any kind. Not a great location. No acknowledgement of being a Gold Hilton member or being on our honeymoon at all. But the worst part about this hotel is they will say you owe money for things you’ve already paid for when you check out. They will not do the due diligence via disputing the charges. Feels incredibly scammy. Do NOT recommend.
