Every member of the hotel staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, without failure. Ben, at the concierge desk was particularly attentive and gave us great suggestions for sight seeing in town. The breakfast buffet is excellent, plenty of choice. Could probably do with one more coffee machine with milk. Snacks at the poolside were good, especially the pizza. The rooms are well appointed, very quiet, good blackout curtains and great air conditioning. Over all the nicest stay at a Hilton I have had in a long time.
From the moment we arrived, the service at Hilton Kota Kinabalu was nothing short of exceptional. The staff were welcoming, professional, and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. A special shoutout to Ben and the bell boys, who were incredibly helpful throughout our visit. Ben made sure everything ran smoothly with our check-in and was always ready to assist with a smile. The bell boys were equally amazing—friendly, attentive, and quick to lend a hand with our luggage and directions around town. The rooms were spotless, spacious, and very comfortable. We also loved the rooftop pool and the delicious breakfast spread every morning. Highly recommend staying here if you're visiting KK. The team truly sets the standard for hospitality—thank you for a wonderful experience!
I had a very comfortable stay at Hilton Sabah. My room on the 9th floor (Executive Floor) was beautifully designed and felt truly luxurious. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout. The pool area was relaxing, and the rooftop restaurant and bar were great places to unwind — the food was delicious, and the service stood out, especially thanks to Ms. Artina. I also appreciated the warm welcome and presence of Executive Chef Gray, which added a personal touch to the dining experience. Breakfast offered a wide selection of dishes, and the Executive Lounge was a peaceful spot to enjoy a quiet moment. Everything was excellent, apart from two things: First, the sink faucet in the bathroom was extremely powerful — unless you opened it very carefully, water would splash all over you. So you really have to be cautious and keep that in mind, or else one careless turn in the morning while already dressed for a meeting could mean having to change your entire outfit. Second, on my first night (out of four), there was a live band playing at the rooftop bar, and it went on until about 1 a.m. It was so loud that I couldn't sleep and ended up having a sleepless night. A colleague of mine staying on the same floor also mentioned it to me — and of course, she shared her feedback with the hotel that night. I understand the appeal of live music to create a lively atmosphere, but I sincerely hope Hilton can find a better balance — perhaps by ending it a little earlier. One night of entertainment shouldn’t come at the cost of a restful night’s sleep in a premium hotel.
