My son had a tennis tournament in the San Diego area. We absolutely loved our stay! Jayden was extremely helpful at check in! Our room was absolutely beautiful, and the views were even better! We got to enjoy the tennis court and the bed was super comfy for us lounging and watching movies in our room. My son enjoyed the warm clean pool and we had fun playing ping pong after. Our balcony was oversized and since it's located on a golf course. Its very serene! I highly recommend this property! It was paradise!
Had a great time at the course. The proximity and views were incredible. The staff very friendly and on top of their game. The patio furniture was worn from the sun and needed to be replaced. When I went to sit down the material ripped and I injured my toe by jumping and stubbed it. BTW 5'11" 195lbs. ROOM 3087. Other than a bruised toe for a souvenir a good experience overall.
There is a reason it is a good deal. The location is great, but the customer service is poor. First off, do not book any Torrey Pines Tee times through them; there are unnecessary fees, and no upside to booking through them. We tried to make the most out of the hotel, by not being in the room except when sleeping, it is best to take advantage of what there is to do in San Diego and avoid being in the room. That said, imagine my surprise when they hit us with a $340.00 smoking charge 5 days after checkout. They claimed the air quality changed, but neither of us smokes. I'd recommend avoiding this hotel. The hotel indicates in their response that they have special sensors to test the air quality. I asked for the report, and they sent it me. The report indicated the air quality changed at around 11:30am, I have sent multiple photos with time stamps showing we were not on the property from 10:30 am till roughly 6pm. The photos show that we were at the Lodges at Torrey Pines and then playing the course, however, they still refuse to reimburse.
