The service here was incredible. As we booked for a special reason ( I recently proposed to my girlfriend) when checking the front of house staff (Jamie) heard our story and bumped up our stay to an executive suite. This alone made our stay very memorable for both of us. I even tried to give Jamie a tip which he refused and said he was his job and he was happy to do so. Gotta love service like this going beyond for people is true hospitality
Prime location with potential for more. Hilton Liverpool City Centre still carries that classic late ’90s charm, but it’s due for a refresh. The location is excellent and always lively. The breakfast food was good, the lounge enjoyable, and the staff helpful. The room’s toilet was modern and clean, but the corridors felt dark and dated. The gym is packed with equipment and would benefit from a view—something that could attract not just hotel guests but outside visitors too. They’ve got the building, the staff, and the location—now they just need that modern upgrade.
I booked a room at Hilton Liverpool City Centre for a guest from China who doesn’t speak English. Before the check-in date, I personally visited the hotel and spoke with a man named Jamie (who appeared to be a manager or supervisor). Even then, his attitude was irritated and dismissive — his facial expression and tone made it feel like he just wanted me to finish and leave quickly, as if helping guests was a burden. When my guest arrived and I went to reception to request bottled water, I had to deal with Jamie again. His behaviour was again cold and unprofessional. It genuinely felt like he was in the wrong role — no hospitality, no customer care. After the two small complimentary water bottles were used, I paid £12 for more. But it took 4 hours, 3 phone calls, and several follow-ups before they were finally delivered to the room. Dinner was included in the booking. I clearly explained at the restaurant that my guest would like to eat in her room and kindly asked them to send the meal — especially since we had already faced trouble just getting water. They agreed, but nothing was delivered. The next morning, my guest confirmed she received no dinner at all. This entire experience was extremely disappointing — slow service, poor communication, and rude behaviour from someone in a management position. Definitely not what I expect from a Hilton hotel.
