Hilton London Angel Islington

Stayed here for a congress held at the adjacent business center so I didn’t expect much. I was so pleasantly surprised. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable with a great shower (pressure and heat), crisp soft sheets and excellent mattresses. The included breakfast buffet had plenty of options that were perfect before my meeting. When I needed to work on my lectures, the staff gave me a tray so I could bring my breakfast upstairs. Of note, I want to complement Saif in the restaurant who brought my 2 cappuccino expeditiously so I could get my caffeine infusion.

Staff wonderful, Delia the manager was great and very friendly, very helpful. Location great, using the transportation is fantastic you can stay here and get into the heart of the city without any issues. Breakfast was nice probably could improve a little more having some other variety of foods eg: yogurt choices and other fruit. This is my second time staying here and I would stay again, the area has lots of restaurants and shopping if you didn’t want to head into central London.

To start with the positives great location with Angel tube 5 mins, plenty of eateries, bars and amenities close by. Warm welcome at Reception, with great air con in the lobby. Room was available on arrival and 12 o'clock check out is decent. Bar area is really well presented and nice sitting out area. I booked a Hilton Honors sale rate and it was still £318 room only for myself, husband and son in a deluxe room with two double beds. We had significant niggles in that the air con in the room was very ineffective and had to make do with a fan and two windows open to create a cross breeze (room 366). The net curtains (see photo) were filthy, caked in muck. We did tell the gentleman on reception so it could be addressed for the next guest. He was apologetic. We felt the double bed was small. The bathroom needed some general maintenance to grout, sealant. Overall disappointing for quality we expect at this price point.
