If you're planning a trip to Universal Studios, this hotel is an absolute gem. I highly recommend investing in a panoramic room – the views over Universal Studios and the Hollywood Hills are truly spectacular and worth every cent. Room service was a standout as well: fast, efficient, and genuinely delicious. Everything we ordered arrived promptly and tasted great. A perfect stay from start to finish!

Great location for guests wanting to go to Universal Studios or have a private event. The rooms have a fantastic view and for what seems like a more refined hotel it's very kid friendly. The pool area has cabanas and a bar which makes some pretty good drinks. The hotel also has two highly rated restaurants, The Cafe Sierra which has an incredible AYCE Lobster and Crab leg buffet and Five on the hill which features a sophisticated menu in a romantic atmosphere. I would definitely recommend it for a date night. We would stay here again.

I am not a fan of the Hilton brand, as the vast majority of them are outdated and in desperate need of a renovation. We stayed here due to the close proximity to universal studios because we could walk. If not for that, I would not recommend staying here. For starters, online they say that self parking is $50 per day and that was false information. When we checked out, we were hit with an additional bill of $198...for 3 days of parking. They neglect to mention that you have to pay for parking + sales taxes + some ridiculous California tax. So the true cost is $66 per day. We chose an executive room as we wanted a sleeper sofa and we paid extra for the views of Universal. Do not fall for this scam. The room was cramped and by the time we unfolded the sleeper sofa, there was no room to walk! We had to push the couch close to the tv in order to walk from the bed to the bathroom. The view was of the park, kind of. You really could not see anything accept a little of the Minion park and some of Super Nintendo. The only view we had was of the disgusting dirty outside windows with bugs and cobwebs (see pics below). The a/c was fine during the day, but at night, it became hot , musty, and humid. The safe was broken and we did not want to call attention to it for obvious reasons. For a room that accommodates 4 people, they only had 1 sink in the bathroom and no fan. Our shower door also did not seal properly, so the floor was constantly covered in towels. Due to the fact that I used my miles to book the hotel, I did not qualify for my $15 food credit for my status and I was glad actually. Not only do they not have an executive lounge on the executive level, but the food was so expensive, that we ordered Door Dash. You can only get a grab and go breakfast at the Starbucks in the lobby and they do not accept the Starbucks app or Starbucks gift cards! Beware, we got blueberry muffins that were warm on the outside and cold inside...terrible! The only good thing about this hotel was Jared at the front desk. He was very nice!
