Hilton Luxor Resort & Spa

We stayed for four nights, and it was a delight. From the moment we checked in to the last when whe checked out, we felt like we were at a true five-star hotel. The property has a long driveway with lots of vegetation, a beautiful lobby, an amazing pool and bar area, as well as an incredible view at the Nile river. Rooms were clean, and the food was okay, but the view was unbeatable. Hotel employees did a great job at making us feel at home. Overall, it was a great experience. Would definitely come back.

Just an amazing place to stay and hide from all the chaos outside the resort. Loved our stay in this resort and I would conme back to this resort in a flash. The food was good, the rooms big and roomy, well ours was, lying by the River Nile with the infinity pools behind you us simply superb

I will preface this by stating that we did enjoy our stay at this hotel, besides the room needing an update and the pool being a bit dirty. It was peaceful, food was pretty good and great location. The reason I'm leaving 1 star is because the staff members were walking around with nets to catch the cats that live on the property EVERY day. I found this disturbing and honestly ridiculous. The cats weren't ever bothersome - they just hung out around the buffet area to try and eat every morning since they were literally starving. In fact I would say every guest that saw them seemed to enjoy them. If the hotel put some food from the buffet aside (that is probably thrown out and wasted every day anyway) for the cats then they wouldn't be begging and would probably not even be visible to guests. But chasing them with a net every day and traumatizing them? Inhumane and does a lot more to take away from the "5 star" experience than just having them on your property. I hope this hotel can reconsider the way they are dealing with the animals that live there and deal with it in a more humane and professional manner. I've stayed at many luxury resorts and have never seen wild animals treated with hostility. If you have an outdoor space there is no getting around the fact that you will have wild animals. At one of the Westins I stayed at in Mexico, they had a dedicated area near the pool for the wild iguanas that populated the resort. They were fed and cared for. Guests loved it and it added to the experience. JUST AN IDEA instead of abusing them and trying to force them out.
