Hilton Minneapolis St. Paul Airport

Overall, I would rate this property 3 stars. The food was excellent, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. However, my experience was affected by issues with the hotel room. On the first night of my three-night stay, the air conditioning wasn’t working. I called for assistance but was told nothing could be done until the morning and was advised to use a fan—except there wasn’t one in the room. The AC was repaired the next day, but unfortunately, it emitted a strong motor oil smell for the remainder of my stay. A fan was eventually provided, but it was dirty and had a broken knob. Not the kind of first impression I expect from a Hilton property.

Nice hotel, clean room. Great location near airport and mall of America with free shuttle service. Staff was not overly friendly but my biggest complaints would be they have no ice machines, they had a few bags of ice in the freezer near the front desk but that was long gone before I got there. No complementary coffee, you can make coffee in your room but that’s not the same, and of course no complementary breakfast of any kind. Also the temperature in the room is climate controlled. You can’t control it to suit your needs.

Do not stay at this hotel in the summer. All of the rooms are extremely hot and apparently the thermostat on the wall is just for show. It wasn’t just my room with an issue many of the guest were complaining about not being able to sleep due to the temperature of the room. That said; it’s a great hotel.
