Hilton Newcastle Gateshead

I was very impressed with this hotel. It's in an excellent location, right on the river and close proximity to tons of cool restaurants and bars. The hotel rooms are fantastic, exactly what you hope to find when you open the door after a long journey. The bar and restaurant are brilliant - a really solid menu and the atmosphere doesn't feel like a hotel (in a good way). There's a gym with a pool which is quite nice compared to what you usually get. I highly recommend this hotel for your next visit!

Great Hotel, very clean and modern feeling. Facilities were plenty with the included gym and pool rooms with sauna although can get busy. The room was spacious, clean and well equipped with the essentials you may need. Breakfast was wonderful with a wide selection of hot and cold food and range of drinks. Staff was very polite and helpful in service during our stay and made the check in and out very easy and quick process.

Very nice rooms, excellent service and the location is fantastic. We had a very enjoyable and comfortable stay. I have only two comments where I believe the hotel could do better. First, stop blaring music in the public spaces, it is loud, it is annoying, please just stop, We constantly had to ask to have it turned down, and it was still too loud. The gym is particularly annoying. Second, the coffee in the room is atrocious, it is in tea bags and is so weak and tasteless as to be useless. The executive lounge has a good coffee machine, but it isn't open until 7 am on the weekends. It would be so much better if the hotel put a coffee machine in the main lobby, available 24/7. Otherwise, great stay!
