he Hilton in Costa Mesa is a reliable choice for both business and leisure travelers, offering a mix of convenience, comfort, and value. From the moment you walk in, the hotel makes a strong first impression with its beautiful entryway. The soaring high ceilings and sleek glass elevators create a modern, welcoming atmosphere that sets the tone for your stay. One of the standout features of this hotel is its size—there are plenty of rooms, making it a great option for larger groups or events. The prices are also quite reasonable for the area, especially considering its prime location. It’s incredibly close to the offices at Campus, making it a convenient choice for business travelers. Additionally, the pool in the back is a nice touch. It’s well-maintained and offers a relaxing spot to unwind after a busy day. That said, the hotel does show its age a bit. While the beds are comfortable and the rooms are clean, the decor and furnishings feel a bit dated, likely from the late 2000s or early 2010s. Another minor issue is the air conditioning in some rooms, which can be a bit temperamental. During my stay, the room tended to run warmer than I’d prefer, and adjusting the thermostat didn’t always help. Overall, the Hilton Costa Mesa is a solid choice for those looking for a comfortable stay in a great location. While it may not be the most modern hotel, its spacious rooms, attractive common areas, and proximity to local businesses make it a practical and enjoyable option. Just be prepared for a few quirks here and there, and you’ll have a pleasant stay.
Overall, this is a nice hotel with good amenities and there are plenty of restaurants and businesses within close proximity. I did feel the parking was overpriced and my room had a lot of items that should be fixed including stuck faucet handles, base board trim molding falling off, torn carpet and a damaged cabinet door to the fridge. The bed was comfy, shower was nice with good water pressure and plenty of hot water and the TV was a good size with plenty to watch. Overall, my stay was okay.
My sister and I booked a last minute Disneyland trip last week and decided to stay at Hilton Costa Mesa, and we didn’t have the greatest experience Ambience: The hotel has a lot of food places around, and is located right by the airport. We drove, and paid $40 parking. The parking garage had an off-putting, funky smell to it that you had to take to get to the hotel lobby. The hotel lobby was clean and had a lot of space to hang out, and had a restaurant, bar, Starbucks and a store. Check in was smooth because I did it through the Hilton app and just went to pick up my key. Room: My sister and I got a two queen bed room. The room was extremely spacious for two people, and we liked that there was a sink inside AND outside of the bathroom. The room seemed dated and didn’t match the vibe of the lobby I went to use the bathroom and noticed that on the door, there was a smear with what appeared to be fecal matter, and I was extremely disturbed. We called the front desk and requested a room change which they were happy to help us with. They also gave us breakfast vouchers for the hotel buffet to use for our stay. Our second room didn’t have fecal matter on the door, however, when showering, there was a OPEN and USED bar of soap inside of the soap holder in the bathroom, but my sister and I were extremely tired and decided to just ignore it. We did Disneyland the whole day for our stay, but it was uncomfortable coming back to a room we perceived uncleanly, and at times even smelled of marijuana. Breakfast: We used our breakfast vouchers when we checked out, and got the full buffet. It was nothing special, just eggs, bacon, sausage, typical breakfast offerings, that is originally $33 per person. We received the bill and saw that they applied auto-18% gratuity that you have to pay, as an FYI to anyone looking to use a voucher, you will still have to pay about $9 per person (I was happy to, just didn’t know about it) I did not have a pleasant experience staying at this property and would not recommend of return.
