Nice hotel. Modern, clean and well kept. Very nice breakfast. Rooms are small, but typical for Europe. If visiting in summer be aware there is understandably no air conditioning, and we found our room quite hot while visiting in July. We did see a fan being taken out of one room as we were leaving, so if this happens to you, ask at the front desk.
The hotel was nice and quiet. The room was clean had space for our 3 suitcases. Breakfast was good and had lots of choices. The restaurant was busy during dinner hours but did have a limited menu in the bar area with additional seating. Overall, nice stay. Location was decent but not in the heart of downtown - we drove into the city during the day.
I keep getting requests to review this place. Here ya' go: It was the most uncomfortable Hilton brand we've ever stayed at. Shocking that it even has the name. From the moment we walked into our room, we had problems that were never addressed. Our refrigerator didn't work. I called the front desk and was told they couldn't send someone until the next morning. About 15-20min later, some guy invited himself in without any audible knocking. He did the exact things we did - check the power and the temperature. Just as I told the front desk, nope. Didn't work. Our left overs from room service had to be trashed. Bummer. Furthermore, out of everywhere we went in the country of Iceland, the employees of the Hilton were the most unnecessarily difficult to deal with. They were always ready with an excuse or some comeback without letting me finish speaking. The room was just very uncomfortable. I hardly slept and in fact slept better in the car on the side of the road. This place isn't remotely close to what a Hilton should be like.
