This hotel is the most kid-friendly hotel we’ve come across. As we checked in, our little one got a coloring book and crayons. And at every breakfast, she got more coloring books and crayons. The hotel staff in general are very kind to children and was tolerant as how kids always behave. Room was fine and comfortable. Shower had very low pressure but it was tolerable, and trash bins were just too small. Hotel is situated at the edge of Chinatown so food was within walkable distance and so is the pier. Overall very happy with this stay.
This hotel is really solid, and the location carries it a lot. Super convenient to some of the best food, drinks, views, and public transit in the city. We were in town for the marathon, and since this hotel was quite close to the starting line, a lot of people who were racing were staying here. However, it seemed the elevators were either half running or not running at full capacity on the morning of the race, which led to a long, stressful wait for a lot of people who needed to get corralled and off running. I know a few other reviews mentioned this as an issue, but I assumed hotel management would be aware of something as big as the city-wide marathon and adjust elevator schedules accordingly. That said, everything about the hotel is clean, and the people working were very kind and understanding. Overall, I would still recommend.
The hotel is right between China Town and the Financial District. If you can, get a city view (you won't regret it!). The hotel is located near the Wharf, Chinatown, Little Italy, and Downtown. The Chinatown Muni is also about a 10 minute walk away. The TV is great, with modern streaming options. The room price is also very reasonable for SF standards. That being said, the baths in the rooms could use renovation. The parking prices are ludicrous as well. I paid $65 a night, which is the same price non-guests pay. I don't recommend eating at the hotel restaurant, as there are better and more affordable options nearby (Chinatown and Little Italy).
