I was delighted by this property! While it looks great online, it's even more impressive in person. The staff are welcoming, and my room, a king deluxe with a garden view, was spotless; the bathroom was especially luxurious. My only concern was the smell of another guest's cigarette smoke briefly coming through my bathroom vent, but this wasn't the hotel's fault. Overall, the property truly reflects Hilton's high standards. I noticed and appreciated the thoughtful details, like the welcome fruits and the farewell latte personally prepared and delivered by Chef Marco. Truly a class act. I will definitely return to the Hilton Shanghai City Center if my travels bring me back. In the meantime, let this review encourage you to make a booking. Thank you for a lovely stay.
Excellent service. I lost a bag of chinese herbs in the room and the gentleman at the reception and Miss Wang of room service went all the way to arrange someone to buy my herbs in the local tcm hospital, back in time for me to fly off, without any charge!. Can’t be more grateful for the wonderful experience and kindness with them not to mention their comfortable beds and clean rooms. Will definitely be back to stay with them. We stayed 5 nights with them.
As a Hilton Gold member, I am extremely disappointed with my experience. I arrived at the hotel at 9:30pm after a long day, yet my room was still not ready. Being asked to wait at such a late hour is completely unacceptable, especially for a loyal Hilton Honors guest. On top of that, the room assigned had very poor soundproofing — I could clearly hear noise from the corridor and neighboring rooms, which made it difficult to rest. This entire experience reflects a serious lack of operational readiness and quality standards. Very frustrating and far below the level of service expected from Hilton.
