Nice enough accommodations, but the room was warm. 77 degrees showed on the thermostat even though it was set to 66...clearly the system was having a difficult time keeping the room cool. Nice view of the ballpark from my room, but the drawback was the lights also shined right into the room for hours after the game. Hard to beat the location, though and parking across the street was very easy.
The main selling point of this hotel is the location. It was a very easy walk to see the arch and the top floor bar had a great view as well. Otherwise it was just chaotic from the moment we pulled in to valet. Communication with valet staff was difficult and the person who helped with our luggage was extremely awkward. We asked if we could just take the luggage cart ourselves but were basically forced to have him help. The hallways and room were warm/stuffy, outdated and you could clearly see the wear and tear. The bed was uncomfortable and smelled musty. There were also stains all over the ceiling in the bathroom. The bathtub took a while to drain as well. We were glad we were only staying one quick night as a stop over point on our road trip.
Forget about any kind of on time check in. I called 2 days in advance explaining that I was an overnight worker and would be traveling in. Arriving at 1 PM then asked for an early check in. While an early check in was not guaranteed was told would do what they can. Upon arrival asked for id and CC checked in as normal. Then stated room was not ready would call when was. Regular check in was at 4. At 2 and 3 I checked in as to status of room. Both times stated was clean and waiting on supervisor walk through. At 4:15 was told room was 80 percent clean and then a supervisor had to walk through. At 4:30 I canceled the room all together as room was not ready. 30 minutes past check in and now a different cleaning status. I watched 20 people get rooms while in the lobby waiting. As a honors member, this is unacceptable. I will NEVER stay at this hotel location again having had similar experiences previously when staying there.
