I have been staying here for about 15 years now. Always great to see the same familiar happy and friendly faces. It says a lot about a business when the same staff have worked there for many years. I got upgraded recently due to a previous issue and the room was very nice. The breakfast choices are pretty good although not as good as before (prior to the change of management). However the breakfast choices are still very decent. I look forward to my continued visits to this fantastic hotel.
We had a truly memorable stay at Hilton Sukhumvit Bangkok, and would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the wonderful staff, especially the duty manager at breakfast. He warmly remembered our seat preference every morning, and on our last day, he noted it without us saying anything and personally saw us off at the lift after breakfast. That level of attentiveness made us feel genuinely cared for. Our room was impeccably clean and comfortable, even though some of the bathroom floor tiles showed minor chipping. We did notice that the room was not particularly child-friendly, as there were quite a number of sharp corners at a height that could be hazardous to young children. We are also very thankful that young children were allowed access to the Executive Floor. The lounge was beautiful and provided a peaceful space for our family to relax and enjoy some quiet moments together. Finally, thank you to the team for making us feel valued as Hilton Honors members throughout our stay. From the warm greetings to the thoughtful touches, your hospitality truly stood out. Highly recommended for families and anyone who appreciates sincere service and comfort — though parents with young children may wish to be mindful of the room layout.
This definitely wasn’t a five-star hotel experience. The room was extremely dated and in clear need of renovation. Several things didn’t work as intended - or didn’t work at all. The executive lounge was placed on a very low floor, which made it feel dark and closed-in - a poor choice, especially given that most lounges are usually on higher levels with better views. The staff were also well below five-star standard. On multiple occasions, I saw staff walking around the hotel with their heads down watching TikTok videos on their phones - even when passing guests, they didn’t stop or acknowledge anyone. Lounge staff were not particularly attentive either, and no one was consistently present at the front entrance to greet guests or open the doors. Small things, but they add up quickly and reflect a lack of proper five-star service culture. I was originally booked to stay here again two weeks later, but after this experience, I cancelled that stay and moved to the Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park instead. As a Hilton Diamond member, I’ve stayed at many Hilton properties around the world - this was easily one of the weakest five-star Hilton experiences I’ve had.
