Bayside is magnificent!! The pools are amazing and you are surrounded by more tropical beauty than one can imagine. The bay view suites offer wondrous views of the water, boats, wildlife and distant beaches. They have a very long pier you can go out on to see tons of fish, cranes, ducks, crabs, and even the occasional dolphin or ray. Although I cannot access it due to limited mobility, they have their own little private beach for sun- bathing, swimming, snorkeling etc. There are two restaurants here, one inside the main lobby in building 1 and another outside at the far end of the property. Both have great food and reasonable prices for the area. They also have a snack bar and offer free lemonade and ice cold water daily in the lobby. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly as well which makes it a happier environment!
I’ve stayed here twice in the past three months for a total of 7 nights. I like the location; it’s so convenient. I love the mini golf, fire pits, and multiple pools. My first stay was in a one bedroom. The AC leaked at both ends of the buildings main hallway during that stay. They had small trash cans and buckets placed there to catch the water. One of the laundry centers was closed so that was also a little inconvenient but we went to a different building. My second stay, we booked two 2 bedrooms. So we had 2 suites that state they can accommodate 8 humans each, so for our reservation 16 humans should be able to be accommodated. Since we were on the ground floor we had six patios. We only had four patio chairs. I called the desk after we reached our room and noticed the few chairs; I asked for more chairs and towels. No one ever came by. The desk called us on our cell phone the morning after check in to ask if there was anything we needed. They called our cell phones because the landlines don’t work and the phones in the rooms are decorative. Either way, we again requested more chairs and more towels. We never received either. Our concierge, Elisa, told us the pool bar was now open for our second trip as it was under construction our first visit. Upon check in, they let us know that the pool bar is actually still closed. Tides, one of the on property restaurants, is open now though. We didn’t eat there. Nor did we eat at Pelicans but we did have drinks. The private beach is also a fantastic feature. It could use some updates. The volleyball net is ripped and the lights are out. The rooms were pretty clean with the exception of hair. There was hair all over the floor in one suite; it’s was in the bedrooms and bathrooms. Yuck. The first visit was a party of two adults. The second stay was six adults and one toddler. My family enjoyed the trip.
The front desk staff leaves something to be desired and could use some customer service training. The room was clean and comfortable. There are several pools to choose from, but half of them were so dirty we wouldn't swim in them. The grounds are clean and well kept. The resort is not on the beach or on a main stop that would make access to resend shop easily accessible so you have to drive everywhere. Fix the front desk issues. Their attitudes are horrible!
