Hilton Waikiki Beach Resort & Spa

My family and I loved this hotel. The beds were comfortable and the view from our room was beautiful. All the staff were kind and helpful. There were lots of shopping and restaurants right near the resort and also on the resort property. The resort is right off the beach and it’s an incredible beach with breathtaking views. We didn’t want to leave to come back home.

Good location, 1.5 blocks from the beach / ocean. Near food, shopping, entertainment, & beach. Rooms do have a great ocean view. Hotel staff was very nice and accommodating. The hotel is older and needs updating but the rooms were clean. Had refrigerator but it didn't work well. Had small balcony with great ocean view. The pool was very nice, had free miniature golf, free rental of beach chairs, surf boards, & pool noodles. The only thing we didn't like about the room was the windows in the bathroom, so at night if you use the restroom you can't turn the lights in the bathroom on or it will light up the bedroom area and wake everyone. The hotel hallways don't have air conditioning so that can be uncomfortable when waiting on the elevator. But it was overall a good experience and would stay here again.

I stayed here for a week and I'll first start with the quality of the room. The room was cozy and comfortable, but you can tell they remodeled from the old design. When you remodel, whether that's a bathroom or carpeting, you should never be able to tell it was remodeled. Especially when it's your first time there. But the overall color scheme was decent. The bathroom was nice, but shower was a bit too high which is an accident waiting to happen. Make sure you close the balcony door for a.c. to work. If its not closed, it will be very humid and hot in the room. The balcony was cute. I don't like small balconies though. It's just a phobia of mine. The best part about this hotel was the everyday breakfast. I was in love with the miso soup. There's a huge Japanese population and tourist in honolulu, so it made sense to have it. The eggs and bacon were good. I also tried the HUGE pancakes at the mac restaurant. They were yummy. The lobby was beautiful. So was the spa. I didn't get a chance to try the pool or room service. My only complaint is to have a microwave present for guests. Especially for after hours when room service closes. And the 450 dollar hold.... just add it in the total price of the stay. It helps people budget better. The hotel is very close to the beach. You can see it from the balcony, at least from the room I was in. Everything is in walking distance.
