Hipotels Gran Playa de Palma

We had a fantastic stay! The hotel is very kid-friendly, offering a great combination of price and value. There were different activities for all ages, including evening shows, which kept everyone entertained. A special thank you to animator Anna — my daughter absolutely loved the mini disco and enjoyed the t-shirt coloring activity. It’s wonderful to see staff so engaged and enthusiastic with children.

Location: You can easily walk to Palma beach in just 5 minutes. The beach is absolutely stunning with its turquoise color and soft sand — it truly amazed us. You can rent two sunbeds and an umbrella for €18. The hotel is less than a 10-minute taxi ride from the airport. There are many small local supermarkets around the hotel, but I wouldn’t recommend them since they are overpriced and have limited variety. Instead, I suggest walking 10 minutes to the Mercadona market — it has a wide selection and reasonable prices. Since we were traveling with our 18-month-old baby, we couldn’t join the nightlife, but there are plenty of places to party near the hotel. Room: The room was absolutely beautiful. It was very spacious and the furniture looked new. I also watched how thoroughly they cleaned a room after a guest checked out, and our room was cleaned nicely every day. There is a mini-bar in the room, but it’s completely empty. It would’ve been nice to have at least a few items available in it. We were right near the party places but sound isolation was good enough for blocking them. I can’t say the same for internal sound isolation. For couple of nights, our neighboring rooms made some noise and we were disturbed. Food: Dinner had great variety overall. For a buffet, it was about as good as it gets. I wasn’t expecting 10/10 food from a buffet, but I’d rate it around 7–8. Breakfast had slightly less variety, but it wasn’t a problem for us. The only negative observation I had was that one of the buffet staff used the same tongs for raw chicken and then served cooked meat with them — a serious Salmonella risk. I won’t claim this as the definite cause, but I did get food poisoning one day and I believe it might have been due to this. I’m just sharing this as feedback and won’t reflect it in my rating since we had an otherwise great week. I hope the hotel addresses this issue. For families with children: This hotel isn’t fully tailored for children, but there were still enough activities to satisfy us. For example, there’s a playroom you can take your child to at any time of day. Even though our baby is quite young, the staff at the mini-disco in the evenings made every effort to ensure he had fun — they played and danced with him. There’s also a small children’s pool and a section of the large pool that’s about 40 cm deep, where our son had a great time. Staff: The hotel staff were truly friendly and cheerful. They always smiled at our son and tried to play with him. Everyone was kind and welcoming throughout our stay. Conclusion: We left very happy after our 8-day holiday. All generation can have a good time in this hotel. My 2y.o. son enjoyed the kids pool and the playground outside. Also breakfast and dinner buffet were very good and fair price. Finally we had dinner buffet for 3 nights during 5days. The location is very party area and there are so many drunk people on the beach and street. So not comfortable to go there with small kids. But we can take bus easily to go anywhere.
