Hipotels Hipocampo Adults Only

Good hotel, just what expected for a beach hotel. Rooms are a bit dated. For the daily rate paid, they should include basic amenities like bottled water, coffee/tea replenish and not just as a welcome gift. Similar hotels/rates offer this. Breakfast was an amazing treat! There were different options every morning. Food, coffee and juices really good quality! The area is a bit touristic but very nice and clean beach. Plenty of restaurants nearby.

We had an enjoyable stay here. Positives: Fantastic reception staff. Warm and welcoming. Cleanliness of the hotel is superb and the cleaning staff were great. (Although it would be nice if they knocked on the door before coming into your room). Breakfast was good. Peaceful. Great location - you realistically never need to be in the hotel. The pool area always had plenty of sunbeds. The view from the upper floors. Negatives: Everything was geared towards the German clientele (who are the vast majority). Summarised by the fact there's 1 EN channel and more than 40 De. Pool staff were quite cold. Why can't they come around the sunbeds every now and again taking drink orders?The wallss were very thin. Difficulty sleeping. Parking (not really hotels fault but still a negative as impossible to find a spot). No food options after 1400 - come o, you dont need a chef for basic options such as sandwiches. 2 lifts for the whole hotel (older hotel so obviously a design issu, but still...) Overall, we enjoyed it, but we would probably choose a different option next time as you can pay the same price for a better experience.

If your hotel is “Adults Only,” this doesn’t mean it should be only for elderly guests from Germany. During our stay, it felt more like a nursing home than a hotel. Also, if it’s truly adults-only, why is smoking not allowed even on the balcony? Is it a hospital for the elderly? At breakfast, there is only one frying pan for omelettes for the entire hotel, so expect to wait 20 minutes just for eggs ?!. Dinners were very weak and unimpressive. Cleaning we indicated for 10:30-11:30, but staff showed up banging at our door at 9:00…((( Overall, a bad experience. We will not return and definitely do NOT recommend this hotel to young adults looking for a pleasant holiday.
