Hipotels Mercedes Aparthotel

We did a lot of research amongst Mallorca hotels where to go to and have chosen this one, didn't regret it. Is in a very good place, lots and lots of shops in 1 to 10 mins walk. The beach is clean, looks very nice and is in the top 20 beaches of Mallorca. So about the hotel: as many others said before the hotel is back from the 90s what is visible on the rooms, however the mattresses are comfortable, the AC works relatively well and is not too loud, you have kitchen towel, and the rooms are clean, staff are very kind and helpful. The food: that is a bit the weak point as the quality is great, but the taste is a bit constant, a lot of spices & salt would make it much better. Especially Monday-Tuesday-Wednesday the choices are a bit limited, but from Thursday to Sunday you find a lot of stuff you can chose from. About 90% of guests are from Germany, many with kids, so every night there is some program for them, music coming from neighbour hotels till about 10-11 pm. All in all is a really nice hotel if you are fine with a somewhat older furniture but comfy beds and with a great location and nice view on the nice beach. Ps: the sunbed service guy on the beach has some very special rules so better to go early as places are limited

Swimming pool is closed often 6 pm while opening at 9 while clanining it all the morning. In the rooms a lot of mosquitos coming from the air conditioning tubes. The funiture is a liitle old, not enough power supplies for phones. Information like Thursdays no rooms cleaning or pool towels refreshing only 2 times per week missing from the hotel presentation in the room. More like a 2-3stars hotel in Greece.

The location of this hotel and being so close to the sea with a nice view from the balcony was lovely however that was it. Rooms were very dated and just didn’t feel clean and the rooms and inside the hotel smelled like dust. On one day it rained so we went to use the indoor pool however this was absolutely filthy and a €6 charge to turn on jacuzzi jets in the pool. Outdoor pool was nice and big however it was ice cold. It was nice and cheap however no excuse for cleanliness. We ate lunch at hotel too and the food was very bad, burger was frozen and undercooked, tuna sandwhich had no tuna snd was soggy, tuna salad was a massive bowl of mainly leaves however fruit platter was nice. It did the job for 4 days and somewhere to sleep however wouldn’t return.
