Hiyori Ocean Resort Okinawa

From the moment we arrived, the hotel impressed us with its top-notch facilities — an in-room kitchen and a washer-dryer, perfect for divers or longer stays. Breakfast was a highlight: full of local flavors, beautifully presented, and every bite was delicious — even the bread selection was outstanding. The only minor downside was that the breakfast restaurant felt a bit warm and had longer wait times, but the staff’s professionalism and genuine friendliness more than made up for it. We left with wonderful memories and would happily return for another stay.

I stayed in this hotel for three nights in June. The hotel is built on a hill, with beautiful views on the sea. I was way too early for check-in, but the staff was very welcoming and I could make use of all hotel facilities. The rooms are spacious, with comfortable beds and good pillows, which is not a given in Japan. It also has a small kitchen with fridge. Each room has a balcony overlooking the sea, with a table and chairs plus a sunbed. Choice of breakfast is good, with Japanese and Western style. Higly recommended for a comfortable stay at Okinawa.

It was my second time at the breakfast buffet because it is delicious. However, this time I made a sandwich that I didn’t have time to eat. When the restaurant closed, I tried to take it with me to eat outside, but the staff didn’t allow it. I had already paid for the food, but I still had to leave it behind. I believe that wasting food is very unfortunate, especially when a customer has already paid for it.
