HM Playa del Carmen

It’s not far from the “Center” and far away enough you can hear it loud, has all you need around! The staff were just awesome! I arrived 4/5 hours earlier then my check in and they had me in my room by 12 p.m. so I wouldn’t had to wait till 15! Bar staff, breakfast, cleaners, front desk, all very friendly and if you don’t speak Spanish, they will figure something to make you comfortable! Food is very good bty, the guacamole and a the sandwiches are awesome!

Rooms are great and location is great but service is lacking. Specifically the front desk and security. They called me after 9pm to move my car two inches to the right. Extremely inappropriate and unprofessional. The car was not blocking or obstructing anyone. The car that parked AFTER we did parked too close yet we were the ones who had to correct ourselves. Additionally, this could have been avoided if security had done his job and opened the gate, but we had to do it ourselves therefore we had no direction on parking like we would if he had been there to do his job initially. We had to suffer because of bad parking management by security. Hopefully they learn to be considerate in the future and have someone man the gates and not call guests so late about something that could wait until morning.

My family and I have suffered two weeks in this hotel. Same breakfast everyday for two weeks. I’ve never met a load of ignorant staff working in a hotel in all my life; no smile, nothing. The sunbeds are very unhygienic and dirty, and are definitely not cleaned. Please take this review as genuine as I don’t want anyone else to waste their money. You couldn’t pay me to stay in this hotel again.
