Hoi An Historic Hotel Managed By Melia Hotels International

Nice hotel in the middle of the city for a fair price. Staff is super friendly, especially Viêt was always smiling and helping us out. The second room we stayed in had a much less comfortable bed than the first and the swimming pool was a bit overheated but they really did their best to cool it down.

We stayed for 9 nights. This is a family friendly place. All staff were helpful and provided very good service. Great location, excellent bed and room. It is difficult to communicate with staff, especially the night front desk personell, so maybe helping them getting them some language training would help. Some stairs and steps are not clearly marked, thus, you need to watch where you are walking, especially after dark. If you have accessibility considerations, you need to take it into consideration. This is low season, so the place was fairly quiet which is good. They can get you day tours which is helpful if you don't feel like organizing or driving on your own to see the sights. Breakfast buffet is quite good. Coffee is very good, especially for South East Asia. All in all, very good value for money.

We loved our time in Hoi An and the Historic was a great place to stay,location was perfect for getting to old town. The hotel is lovely, room was nice and spacious with a small balcony. Staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast location was so pretty and there was a good selection. Only issue we had was the noise which was caused by the foot steps on tiled floors and people talking loudly coming back to their rooms late at night as well as quite a few kids playing outside our room late into the night and doors being slammed. We are early to bed/early risers and therefore have to rely on earplugs in these instances. If you want a peaceful, relaxing time this is probably not the hotel or location as the pool does get busy and noisy too. Overall though we enjoyed our stay.
