Holiday Inn Algarve

We just returned from a wonderful stay at this hotel. From the start we had a great experience. Right on the beach with the sound of the sea in your room (make sure to book a sea view). We got upgraded to an executive suite which was really appreciated and the extra seating area in the room made all the difference. Breakfast was good with a good selection - would have loved an omelete station. There were a lot of older people there (seems Saga do an All Inclusive deal here) but they knew how to enjoy themselves. Seating are in the bar overlooks the beach and it was lovely to watch the sunset with a glass of wine (bar closes at 23.00 - so hotel was very quiet and relaxed. Would definitely stay again. Staff very very pleasant and helpful on reception.

The hotel rooms could use some updating, but if you're spending enough time in your room to care, you're doing it wrong. There couldn't possibly be a better location - very nice pool that goes right on the beach. The restaurants are very nice too, but we're admittedly easy to please. The front desk staff were very helpful and pleasant.

Absolutely perfect location. Amazing views from the window. Great breakfast. Comfortable bed. Very clean. Attentive, friendly staff. My only complaint is that the bathroom really needed to be updated in appearance. Everything was in working order, and the shower pressure was good, but it is not as good-looking as the rest of the room. Still that is a minor point because who will stay in their room in this gorgeous location!!
