Holiday Inn Ashkelon

Small cute rooms. Closet with mirrors all the door-height. Very good for honeymooners. Small balconies. Rooms on the ground level do not have balconies, but have an exit to the grass. There is a self service tea-and-coffee facility in each room, as is common in Israel. You should bring your favorite tea bags with you. This is not their best side. Highly recommended

This was a good hotel. I wouldnt say a 5 star stay but overall pretty pleasant. I would say a short walk from the port and other restaurants and a nice view. The rooms were good and the cleaning service prompt. Most staff knew English or at least enough to be able to communicate but sometimes I did have to use google translate to be understood. Breakfast had a good size buffet with lots of options but sometimes the better ones weren't available and sometimes the staff for cappuccinos and specialty coffee could not be found. Stayed there for a business trip and I would stay there again.

Public area wasn't very clean. Carpets were old and dirty. Very poor options for vegans (and even then the salads at breakfast were soaking in oil). However, the view from the window was beautiful and the room itself was fairly clean.
