Excellent Stay Near Auckland Airport! We had a very pleasant stay at Holiday Inn Auckland Airport. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the service throughout was excellent. Breakfast was impressive — a good spread with tasty food and very courteous staff. We also had dinner at their restaurant (à la carte), which was delicious. The portion sizes were generous, and the food was fresh and flavorful. The hotel is conveniently located about 4–5 km from Auckland Airport, roughly a 10-minute drive. A great feature is the Yellow Bus service, which operates a continuous loop between the hotel and both the international and domestic terminals, as well as other nearby airport hotels. Tickets cost NZ$8.00 one way and can be purchased online, at ticket machines in the airport and hotel, or directly at the kiosk at hotel reception. Overall, a very good experience — highly recommended for a clean, comfortable, and convenient stay near the airport.

The lobby and common areas have been renovated and there's a great vibe to the place. There are cozy seating areas throughout in the hallways. The rooms were also renovated but done very quickly. The beds and pillows were comfy. There is a fridge but no microwave in the room. Though we didn't use it, the pool looks great, even if you just want to sit outside. Our room was on the main floor and there was a patio door that led to a grassy area. The breakfast was very good, compared to other hotels.

I was checked in during a workshop. The conference room was appropriate with a pleasant outlook and the food served for breaks was excellent. Overnight, the stay was comfortable. Comfy bed, clean room and surprisingly quiet considering the size and location of the complex. I was a little disappointed by the buffet breakfast - watery, rubbery scrambled eggs, tough bacon and cold centred hash browns. I didn’t get through it and instead opted for the fruit and cereal, which couldn’t go wrong. I bought coffee because I thought it would be better than the free stuff but it was average.
