Holiday Inn Beijing Deshengmen

The rooms were fine, though my son and I had one shared bed and I suffered. The location is perfect, easy to get to subway station Jishuitan (1 km and a little more to walk); getting taxi was cheap and convenient in any direction; the area was safe; housekeeping was brilliant and dedicated, they even wrote little notes. Very professional housekeeping staff. We stayed for 5 nights. Front desk was polite. Breakfast buffet was not bad, sit on the side with a garden through large windows! They need to do something with coffee machines, there were 3 but frequently coffee mashines had error screens on them (cleanup, ran out of milk etc); I could write here a lot but thank you, Holiday Inn Deshengmen, you have amazing personnel!

This is an unsolicited review and my first review for this hotel. Since 2013, I have lived in Beijing and stayed here many times for long stays between various moves, so I can really say that this is a wonderful place to stay when you are in Beijing for work or as a tourist. The entire staff - reception, housekeeping (special thanks to the 12th floor staff), dining, management - are extremely professional, warm, thoughtful, and considerate. The location is convenient for taxis, subway, walking. The rooms are a very nice temperature all seasons of the year - something not to be taken for granted here as Beijing has very cold winters; great wifi, showers, bed, living areas, views on higher floors. Breakfast is impressive each morning. There are 3 restaurants within the hotel (2 are independent) and all offer different Chinese cuisine options. Plenty of options for vegetarians and vegans and halal is indicated at breakfast. I commend the staff and encourage the larger Holiday Inn China management to give raises/bonuses/promotions for the workers - this is a top Holiday Inn location and the people behind it should be rewarded. You won’t get a better stay at this price point in Beijing; any older, negative reviews only serve to show how far this hotel has come. Keep up the wonderful work and I’ll see you all again soon. 非常感谢！

NO AIRCON!!! The aircon for the whole hotel is Off! The rooms are hot like sauna! This is totally not acceptable for an international branding.
