Holiday Inn Birmingham North Cannock by IHG

I travel the country staying in hotels. The welcome that I received from Roxy was outstanding in every way. From the friendly welcome to the professional explanations to the phone call to check that the room was up to scratch. Quite frankly, the best hotel reception hospitality that I have experienced in over 30 years. Restaurant staff were also super friendly. Going forward I shall book this hotel several times each month and recommend unreservedly. Well done!

Very dated old looking hotel, beds are amazingly comfortable it’s the only highlight other than the location. The whole hotel is dated and needs a good refurb. Woman on the desk was very unhelpful and seemed too busy playing on her phone to want to do anything. Dining/bar staff were lovely however greeted myself and a friend entering carrying food and provided us with cutlery and plates and wished us a wonderful evening. Only here for work wouldn’t pay my own money to stay again which is a shame due to the location.

Booked 3 rooms and all had issues — dirty, dusty, mould in showers, broken lights and curtains. One room for a couple + child was a twin; we had to move furniture and the beds wouldn’t stay together, causing the child to fall through the gap. Only 1 towel for 3 people, broken iron, and staff questioned me for taking soya milk at breakfast. Definitely not the standard expected from Holiday Inn.
