Holiday Inn Club Vacations Tahoe Ridge Resort by IHG

This was my first time in Tahoe, and I was pleasantly surprised by this resort. I expected more of a standard hotel, but the grounds, though aging are well-kept. Lucy at check-in was very pleasant and gave me a great lay of the land. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed. The hallways could use new carpet, but overall, I would gladly come back.

No AC!!! Currently 1 night into my stay. Would've been nice to know ahead of time. Probably better in the winter. Got the ceiling fan, portable fan, and swamp cooler (runs out of water very often) to create a vortex in the room. Still warm and muggy. Staff is nice and room is clean.

Well, this was a mistake. We just checked in and I can't wait to leave. Check in not very pleasant. Our reservation total was about $17 less than the amount we were shown at check in. When told their amount was wrong, we were told: "Oh, it's only $16." When we persisted, the manager came over and said it was because the hotel was in Nevada. When we pointed out the Nevada taxes already on the bill, he said that that was what he was told to say. Then we were told there's no AC in the room, "but open the windows so it will be cooler." Not when it's 90 degrees. And the fans don't do it. And speaking of our two bedroom suite, not only were we stuck in front of the mini-golf, but the toilet hadn't been cleaned. And since we're staying only 3 nights, we will never see housekeeping during our stay. In short, not very nice. Though I guess tomorrow might be better?
