Perfect base location for Middleton Lodge Estate. We attended the night before and wedding of a close friend and at the time were given a late check out though we didn't need it. The hotel breakfast was enjoyable. The staff were really attentive and helpful when required. The only fault was that they had not replenished their supplies when I asked for a spare toothbrush in the morning hence the 4 stars not 5. The hotel was clean and had a buoyant atmosphere. Would be nice enough to stay longer than one night as a more affordable option to Middleton Lodge Estate fo r guests of weddings as we were before we stayed at the estate on the day of the wedding. The gym was next door in a separate building. Good for a one of visit. Part of a bigger gym facility separate to the hotel so can be busy at times. Worth a visit though as an available feature. Would stay again in future.
We stayed here for two nights because a family member was getting married at the wedding barn nearby. The hotel is an older building, but it looks nice inside. There is ample parking outside, and spots to sit and have a drink. The room was really quiet and had excellent blackout curtains! The bed was really comfy and the AC was nice and cold. The shower was hot, though the bathrooms were a little dated. The floor creaked quite a bit so I hope I didn’t wake up people below us! The restaurant is the best part of the hotel! Fratellis is amazing.. and the breakfast the hotel served was out of this world. It’s not a touristy spot as it’s just off the highway, but if I ever need to stay in that area again I would definitely stay there again. The staff were all super friendly as well!
Bit of a mixed review that made the stay somewhat average. First night, we had an excellent meal with some amazing staff that were very helpful and took the time to talk to us. Christine was amazing!! Carol was very comical and made for a great evening in the restaurant and bar. Unfortunately some of the staff at morning breakfast let the side down as they just wanted to get everyone out of the restaurant and took plates before they were finished and just didn't have they welcoming feeling that the staff gave us the night before. The room was a bit on the small side, and the toilet was kid sized and very low to the ground, but the rest of the room was OK, and the bed was pretty comfortable. On our last morning the staff at breakfast again didn't have the welcoming feeling and actually asked people to leave whilst eating their breakfast as they had to get ready for lunch service, this was only about 10 minutes after breakfast had finished so I was quite amazed that they would expect people to eat and finish in under that time. Also, the bar prices are quite expensive if I'm completely honest.
