We booked the Octagon Suite for a function and not only was the room set out exactly as I had requested but it was private and suited out needs perfectly. The staff were attentive and respected our needs throughout the evening. The food was excellent and delivered to the table by professional staff who were always polite and friendly. Compliments to the chef for gorgeous food, the beef was perfectly cooked, the Decadent Brownie was indeed that. Attention to detail was what made the evening a success and Sashen could not have been more attentive, professional and diligent in meeting our particular needs. Thank you to all staff and I would strongly recommend the venue, the staff and overall the total cost was very attractive for the service received - WELL DONE all. Thank you and we will return!!
A little dated and not decent enough for the money. The room was very loud, especially as we were placed closer to reception — with constant door slamming in the corridor making it difficult to rest. The hotel looks a bit old, with dated equipment and rooms that feel slightly damp. While the staff are generally friendly and helpful, the overall condition of the hotel could use an upgrade. The location is good for general transit, with large shopping malls and a petrol station nearby. However, if you’re booking this hotel with the idea of avoiding queues to the Port of Dover during peak hours — think again. Despite the hotel’s close proximity, we waited an hour and a half in a queue that started further down the road, well before reaching the hotel. So if your main reason for staying here is to save time on port access, this hotel is not fit for that purpose. Otherwise, it’s an acceptable stop for a night, but not great value overall.
AC was broken, beds were uncomfortable we were woken at 5:30 am by a linen truck outside our room. Worst hotel stay in a long time. Was told threw times the manager would call me back and they didn't. They also lied to the customer service team saying we'd been offered a free breakfast. Terrible service and not worth the money.
