Holiday Inn Express Chiayi by IHG

Modern hotel near Chiayi Station. Room is clean and have the necessary basic amenities. Free coffee, tea & cookie/snacks in the lobby. There is ice cream and water dispenser, too. The laundry is great but only 1 dryer which makes waiting longer than usual. Free parking is an added advantage.

This is my first time to ChiaYi. I am grateful that Holiday Inn has opened a new hotel here. I was travelling with my parents to spend the night before visiting Alishan. We enjoyed the stay very much. We love the free breakfast the most. Varieties are good. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful too. It’s abit far from town and airport but no worries, taking yellow taxi is easily convenient. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful but brief stay at this hotel before heading to Alishan. This was such a comfortable place to stay as the rooms were bright, modern, and very clean. The rooms were also spacious and well equipped with a dryer, iron/ironing board in room, provided conditioner in addition to typical shampoo/body wash. There were lots of little perks like free soft drinks/beer voucher, a free soft serve machine, free cookies/snacks in the lobby along with tea/coffee. They also had a cute craft beer truck on the outside of the hotel after 6pm which was very unexpected but cute! Breakfast was also included in all hotel stays with diverse options of both Chinese and Western cuisines. The staff was efficient at running the queues and dining experience. There was a coin laundry/dryer available on site which was very convenient. The staff was very fluent in English which made communication very easy for us. Overall the decor was very tastefully done and the design of the hotel was thoughtful and cohesive. We would definitely return to this hotel if we are in the area in the future, highly recommend, we only wish we had stayed longer to enjoy the facilities more!
