Holiday Inn Express Jiuzhaigou

Excellent service from the hotel staff, who are willing to go out of the way to help guests. Location is also great....about 600 metres from the main entrance of the park. It is also nearby a great variety of eateries.

I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Jiuzhaigou and had a generally positive experience. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the breakfast was excellent with a good variety of options. However, the breakfast area could get quite crowded, making it a bit hectic at times. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel's proximity to the Jiuzhaigou Valley entrance was a major plus. Another great advantage was the abundance of restaurants and convenience stores within easy walking distance, offering a wide range of dining options and making it convenient to pick up snacks and drinks. Overall, a good value for the location.

They do not turn on the central air conditioning because other guests may find it cold! The day time weather when we went was 29 degrees Celsius. But the receptionist rudely told us that if we want air coming out from the air conditioning vents, it will be hot air. As a result, we could not sleep 2 out of three nights. We opened the window and asked for a fan. Never again will I consider this hotel. Breakfast had literally no service, breakfast room is crowded. Breakfast spread is mainly Chinese. Toaster does not work well. And the coffee is not good. The Mountain View room we booked looks out into a construction site. Room infra structure is acceptable. But the poor service and the lack of basic air conditioning makes it hard for us to recommend this hotel.
