Holiday Inn Express Mianyang Sci Tech City by IHG

The Holiday Inn Express was a mostly pleasant stay and I found it to be tourist friendly. Most of the reception staff were friendly, and willing to put in some effort to converse in a foreign language, thankfully. The breakfast food and drinks were varied and delicious. The building, rooms and restaurant was clean. I would add that the Google Maps satellite imagery appears somewhat outdated. The entrance is largely the same, however it as a vehicular access road adjacent the entrance now, and not off to the side as it appears, which makes it easier to hop on and off taxis or transport. I have mostly good things to say about my few days staying here, with only 2 drawbacks from my perception. First being the rooms' AC doesn't seem to work - rooms were scorching hot, and adjusting the AC didn't make any difference to anyone else I spoke to. The second being that in converting the currency, I found the value to be slightly below of expectations, and the price is rather high for the quality and experience.
